Frequently asked Questions:
What is the best way to register for ROAR?
We recommend one of the following:
Mail your registration form to the parish office, ATTN: VBS
Place your registration in an envelope labeled 'Faith Formation Program: VBS Registration' and drop in offertory baskets at Mass
Does my child have to go to the VBS at their "registered parish"? No! It's fun for kids to visit other churches and see new places. Your child can attend VBS at St. Matthew or St. Thérèse (or both!) If neither date/location works, reach out and we can connect you with other VBS dates and locations near you!
What do I do if I'm not sure of my child's t-shirt size?
We recommend guessing up rather than down. The t-shirts we normally purchase are made by Gildan and are 100% cotton. They can be found in most arts & crafts stores/ sections (Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc) for you to check sizes. Or you can check out sizing guidelines here: https://www.gildan.com/us/en/5000b-youth-t-shirt-en_us/?color=221
My child isn't yet potty trained - can they attend?
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accommodate children who are not potty trained.
My child has a dietary restriction - can you accommodate?
Yes! On the registration form, there is a gray box to notate allergies, dietary, or other medical issues for staff to be aware. We do our best to offer options that meet most restrictions; however, we will reach out if necessary for guidance from you.
My child has special needs - can they attend?
This depends on the specific needs of your child and you. Reach out to the Lifelong Faith Formation Director at the contact info above for a chat about the specific situation. Our staff may be able to accommodate with some adjustments, or you may be able to accompany your child for all or part of the day to provide 1:1 assistance and familiarity.
